first foods

An exciting thing happened last weekend! Claire had her first meal. Well, I wouldn't really call several slurps from a spoon and wearing rice cereal a meal, but she didn't do too bad. We were actually surprised at how much she managed to swallow. As with everything else we have ever given her to eat (medicine, foul smelling formula, etc.) she loved it. Daddy took a video of her first attempt. (He'll add it to this post later)


Since her first encounter with rice on a spoon, she has gotten much better with this new experience. She now eats a quarter cup as a serving and today we tried oatmeal. She loved it - even more than rice!
