Legopalooza

At the end of March, the children's museum hosted a Legopalooza event.  We took the kids after church Sunday afternoon.  They had so many fun Lego-inspired activities.  

 Create your own Lego jewelry was proceeded by design your hardhat.

 Then they made a paper plate necklace(?)  Seems kind of silly now that I write about it - oh well, they enjoyed it!

The coolest activity was where you could make your own Lego car and race others' cars down a ramp.  The most challenging part of this though was to find two sets of wheels with which to make your car.  Everyone seemed to enjoy this part of the event the most so their weren't enough supplies.  Luke's was a little lopsided since we couldn't find a matching set of wheels.

 They always have a great time building with these foam bricks.

Here are the kids drilling a hole through their Lego piece so that they can use it in their jewelry.  Claire chose red and Luke, of course, chose blue.  Jacob spent the entire time asleep in the baby carrier so my back and feet were quite glad when it was time to go.  They had a great time and I'm sure we'll try to make it back next year!
