first beach experience

Last month we went camping in Muskegon and visited our friends, the Yagielas. Their son, Owen, was very kind and shared all of his toys with Claire. We played at their house until it was time for us to check in at the campground and get setup. After getting settled, the Yagielas came over for dinner. Owen had fun getting dirty at the campground, but since Claire wasn't walking at the time she had to play inside the camper.

On Saturday, we took a walk down to the beach so that Claire could dip her feet in the lake for the first time. She was NOT a fan of the sand, but loved the water. Silly girl!

Later, Andrew and Alyson took us out on their pontoon boat. We rode across Muskegon Lake to their favorite swimming spot. Unfortunately, Claire couldn't enjoy the ride because she was quite uncomfortable in her life jacket. The only thing that comforted her was an ice cold can of Arnold Palmer, Adam's favorite drink. Once we arrived, Claire and Owen had so much fun sitting in their turtle floaties and splashing in the water. We all had a really great day!
